How did you first find out about Frame of Mind Coaching™?

I heard Kim's interview on the You University podcast. It interested me because it's different from typical life coaching programs. I liked that it has a set program of 10 weeks and that it helps identify what's getting in your way. When I first heard about the journaling aspect, I was a little bit scared, but I was glad to know there are journaling prompts to help guide you.

What were you struggling with prior to coaching?

I was in a place in my business where I was trying all these things and it just wasn't working. I didn't think it was my tactics, I thought it was me. That I needed to have a better mindset to get further in my business. I also have two young kids, and felt that my business was taking over my life. I didn't have enough time for my family.

Has coaching affected your mindset and how you spend your time?

Yes, definitely. On the surface, I knew that I was qualified to do what I was doing, but since I wasn't getting my ideal clients, I doubted that. Coaching really helped boost my self-confidence, and helped me identify what is most valuable to me and how to be my authentic self. It really gave me a handle on my business and how I spend my time.

How is your business doing now?

My business is doing significantly better. I'm right on track and my profits have almost doubled. It's also been a lot more pleasurable. I've had a steady stream of incoming prospects, and I had never had that before.

Has coaching impacted how you show up as a parent?

Yes, it has. I'm now able to make specific time with my kids, and be totally present when I'm with them. Chari also helped me to put myself first so that I could then be there for others.

You mentioned journaling before and how it seemed daunting at first. What was it like journaling every day?

Initially, it was intimidating. I was never a journaler. The topics gave it a lot more structure. Once I started journaling, and received feedback from Chari, I wanted to journal more! I enjoyed writing it all down so that Chari was always up-to-speed during our coaching calls. I benefited both ways; not only was it therapeutic to write it out and receive feedback, but it made our conversations more effective.

How would you describe Chari as a coach?

Chari was great; we were so well-matched. She dug deep even though I was reluctant at times. She's totally authentic, she's not afraid to hold back, and she'll call you out on things. She doesn't let things slide. She's also very caring. She truly wanted me to succeed and went above and beyond what I expected from a coach.

Would you recommend FOM Coaching to others?

Definitely, and I have. Before I was an entrepreneur, I laughed about the idea of having a life coach. Becoming an entrepreneur and being in a position of coaching others has really changed my view of it. That's why I've invested in it for myself. It's helped me become a better coach.

People shouldn't be afraid of coaching. It's good to ask for help and get a neutral party's perceptive of what you're doing and what might be getting in your way. You often can't see that it's you that's in your way.
